The first official post probably should have been Friday but we're going to ignore that and call it starting off on a good foot for the week. Mostly because while I found plenty of stupid people, I found very few people I would consider entirely awesome. Might have to cut out the awesome person of the week and just stick to the stupid awards. Anyway onto the Monday topic.
For those of you who ever wanted to know about the rural south. The calm and soothing dirt roads of the backwoods. Those red dirt roads that are so common in Georgia. I got some really amazing trips on this little trip just around my home county. I also got hopelessly lost. I didn't realize just how much of a spider web of dirt roads we have out here. Still though it was a very nice drive. So any comments? Any thoughts? Have you ever taken a trip like that? I mean you never seem to go see the sights in your own back yard until someone comes to visit. How many people live in New York City yet have never seen the Statue of Liberty up close but for maybe that field trip you took in the 5th grade. How many people live in Washington D.C. but have never seen the Washington Monument or been to one of the museums or taken a tour through the White House? How many people live just a mile from the Grand Canyon yet have never been to it? Next time you find yourself bored and with nothing to do, hop in your car or hop on your bike or hop on your horse for all anyone cares and just take a ride, and look around. Till next time.
