Wednesday Movie And Song of the week

Alrighty, it's Wednesday!  So let's get down to business...

This week's movie is a good one!

Darkness Falls...  It scared the bajeebas out of me and it's really hard to scare the bajeebas out of me.  I swear the first time I saw that movie was in the movie theaters.  I had to drive home with the lights on in the cabin of the car.  Talk about jumpy...

The song of the week is one of my favs right now.  It's by Toby Keith and it's called she never cried infront of me.  I love that song!  Absolutely adore it!  So go watch and go listen!  We've had some good scary movies this month that you can use for halloween if you're like me and will be spending the holiday alone watching scary movies.

Monday shot of the week

I'm a horrible person I know!  But Monday is such a hectic day!  Takes me time to get going again :)

Anyway, with that aside...  Here we go.  Shot of the week, and Karr's blog!

This week I'm gonna do something a little different.  Blendy!

Look!  It's Karr, looking all cute in his little life preserver!  And now a word from our Karr...

Greetings loyal minions,

Karr here.  Might I add if I had to wear that I would have gone down with the ship...  That aside...  How is everyone today?  I've been in an exceptionally good mood as of late and I'm unable to pinpoint exactly why...  Perhaps it is simply the time of the year.  Anyway, Halloween is approaching.  Anyone care to guess what I will be going as?  Keep an eye on this web space and I might just let you see my costume.  So on that note...  What's everyone else going as?  The writer is going as a prisoner...  Or will if she winds up going anywhere.  As dull as she is for now she's simply going to be curled up on the couch watching horror movies that night.  Not that I can blame her...  Personally, I think that a night of watching Gothika and some other horror movie she's picked up sounds like a fairly good way to go.  Might do the same myself...  Anyway, everyone have a safe halloween this year.  After all... I can't rule the world if you all get yourselves killed on Halloween.

Friday's stupid folks awards

Yes my dear friends...

It's that time again.  Know who gets the pick this time?

This time it's local.  Very local.  Home town local.

Alright so ya know the big thing that started where police finally arrested someone for wearing their pants to low?  Anyone know what really happened?  I do...

This guy gets told by a police officer to pull his pants up.  It wasn't an order.  It wasn't a threat.  It was a "Boy, pull yer dang pants up"

So this BRILLIANT guy drops his pants and tells the arresting officer to kiss it.  THATS why he was arrested.

However, the media ran with it.  Ran like a starving dog with a bone.  What's wrong with this picture?

So there you have it.  I was gonna say the guy who dropped his pants to a police officer and told her to kiss it is the stupid person here.  But once again, I'm gonna have to go with the media.

Again...  Media?  Y'all win the plotless stupid peoples awards.

Wednesday Movie and Song of the week, Thursday Chat

Oh I'm getting so good at missing deadlines...  I blame the new ER.

Anywho...

Movie of the week!  So this week, like every week this month I'm gonna go with another scary one.  Gothica.  Anyone seen it?  Of course you have...  It's a great movie that's creepy, a little twisted, and lets face it.  Down right good.  Go see it!

Song of the week is a bit more awesome.  Behind Blue Eyes.  Originally by the Who I think...  Oh and it happens to be in the movie Gothica.  A two for one!

Now...  My normal Thursday Rambling...

Gray's Anatomy...  Everyone knows it.

Here's my issue with it...  (Note it's still my favorite show)

I have no issue with topics on being gay.  My theory is, I'm not.  The rest of you do what ever you want.  Those who wanna get married?  Why shouldn't they be miserable like every other married couple in the world just because they happen to be gay and of the same gender?  Personally my dream person is male.  True genetic male, cause good lord...  Why change?

So here's my issue.  I tune in every week (I'll admit I mostly wanna keep track of Dr. McSteamy and see what McDreamy and Meredith are up to that week.  But hey I love the medical part to!  It's exciting!)  I've always loved the show.  It stays exciting.  It never gets old.

The whole thing goin' on between those two women is gettin' old!  For that matter how is it that the topic has worked it's way into every single show I turn on anymore?  I mean yeah a couple shows go right ahead.  Bring it up.  It's not cliche.  There's nothing wrong with it.  You want a character that happens to be Gay?  Power to ya.  (Let's face it after the big thing about Gray's Anatomy having an issue with the gay community after George came out and Dr. Burke kinda opened his big mouth I was expecting a little sub plot)  However, do I really have to hear about it in full detail?  Last episode?  Let's just say....  Why?  Why?  Why?

It's everywhere now!  It's getting to where a hetero relationship is the one that's cliche.

Alright and I'll entirely leave it at that.  Wahoo!

Tuesday's Karr Spot

Karr has a new home.  That home is on Tuesdays!  Everyone else gets to deal with his complaining on that day...

Greetings Minions,

I would first just like to say thank you for all who wrote in and supported the Traveling Karr.  You all are wonderful.  I didn't know you all loved me so much!  So I would like to take now to put forth my ballet and just say...  Karr for president!  Help a Karr and vote in the first vehicular president!  That said...  I would just like to complain about something that's really been chaffing my bumper since day one.  Why do I always have to travel in luggage?  No matter what happens I always wind up having to be checked with the rest of the writer's baggage.  This week we went to the River Walk.  Did I get to ride Shotgun?  No.  Did I get stuffed into a bag with the writer's camera?  Of course.  Write in and speak my case people!

Monday and Friday's posts

Monday's shot of the week!  I love this one in black and white much more than I ever did in color and I can't even tell you why...

Now Friday one might have noticed something.  No stupid people's awards...  I gotta tell ya I have alot of winners in mind...  One takes the cake.

I wish I could explain this one...  I really do.

However, I'm just gonna go with one thing...

Cross dressing guy?  You won the Plotless stupid peoples award.  Please don't reproduce...

Thursday Rambling of the Week (RPG)

Ok just what is it about RPG?  I absolutely adore it.  If I'm gone from it for an extended period of time I actually miss it and the character that I was playing at the time.  I use to RPG as Karr all the time.  I miss that!

So why is it that you get sucked into RPG?  Why not just write?  Why not just let yourself get sucked into your own written work?  My RPG's have twisted so much you can't see a fan character anymore.  I mean...  When does the cannon character stop in Karr and my own character begin?  Is it just the name I adore so much?  Because I'll be honest...  Karr was no evil genius in the show Knight Rider and I honestly can't decide just what I've developed the character into.  Though I'll be honest...  I love Karr as I've created him to be.  It's like back in the day he was this fragile undeveloped character and the show could have done so much with him.  So I take him and mold him and now he's looking to take over the world.

They grow up so fast...  So How about it?  Does anyone else get as obsessive over RPG as I do?

Wednesday Movie and Song of the week

Alright blogger has been giving me fits ever since I got back so it's gonna be a few days before anyone sees the trip pictures.  Until then I'm thinking of giving Karr his own little spot on the blog.  Maybe say...  Tuesday Karr's Snips.  Who knows.  What's everyone think on this?

Anyway the movie for the week is an awesome one.  If you haven't seen it I strongly suggest you do.  Has anyone else seen the movie Trucks?  Yeah kinda old school...  I don't care.  It's an awesome movie.  Much better than Maximum Overdrive IMO.  For those who don't know that's the movie it was based off of.  Trucks is a horror movie and also a Stephen King movie.  Gotta love it.

My song of the week is the song Hell's Bells.  It's an ACDC song that featured on a very good movie.  Maximum Overdrive which by the way was the movie that the above movie was based off of.  So go see it and listen to that song.  For a month of frights it's the first horror movie I would strongly suggest.

Home again!

Alright so I was suppose to post a blog every day.  I blame sea sickness...  So we're home again!  The traveling Karr would like to say a few words on the matter.  Hopefully we'll be able to post pictures of the traveling Karr by the weekend.

Greetings my loyal minions!

After a very long trip home and some very rough seas that even turned my fuel tank in knots, I am very happy to say we have made it safely home.  The writer has a good case of sunburn...  I on the other hand enjoyed long hours of napping in a sunspot on the writer's bed during the day while she was out.  I even managed to conquer one of those infernal towel animals...

Yesterday the waters were more than a little rough...  The writer of course was sea sick most of the day... I have to admit my fuel tank felt the sympathy...

We were all happy to see Jacksonville again with that weather.  From there the trip was very uneventful.  But for the fact that I was once again checked with the rest of the writer's baggage!!!  I must admit I do love the Bahamas...  Then with that it is with a heavy engine that I back off from my Traveling Karr...  The writer tells me no more vacations until next year...  The upside?  We're going to Europe!  Another cruise as it does seem to be the way to travel.  No hotel bills...  No transportation bills...  Just one big flat rate.  Now come on...  For those who travel alot you have to admit that makes economic sense.

So point being we're holding out for a transatlantic cruise.  I will be back in full blast then!  I'll even drag my partner in crime Cody along.  So...  Pictures will be up later!  Watch for them!  Goodnight everybody!

The Traveling Karr

Karr's Snips:  Customs is a pain in the rear bumper!  It's confusing, it's long, it's dull, and their hands are cold!

Cody's Tips:  Customs is indeed a hard thing to get through at times.  Just remember to declare EVERYTHING.  Be honest with them and things will go smoothly.  (No sense in hiding that priceless relic that you just had to bring home in your suitcase.  They will find it.  Same goes for Cuban Cigars.  They will find it and you will be in a pickle.)  Do whatever you can to make sure things run smoothly.  Otherwise your fate is gonna be a strip search and a cavity search if you don't cooperate.

Till next time!  Like the Traveling Karr?  Tell me!  Maybe he can come around more often than vacations.

Nassau Bahamas

Hello loyal minions,

Well what can I say about Nassau... It was hot, humid, and it smelled
like fish. It's a dirty city where the drivers are even crazier than
I am. How any of those people live through the morning drive is
amazing to me. However, they seem use to it. They say there are less
accidents there than there are in the U,S. and we have better traffic
laws. Go figure on that one. The water was a little rough last
night, bringing on the introduction of sea sickness... Much better
and much smoother now.

Tomorrow is going to be a day at sea which means yours truly will be
back on Thursday. So you only have a couple more days of the
traveling Karr taking over your regularly scheduled blog. Such a
pity...

I would like to take this time to comment on the staff of the Carnival
Cruise Lines. When I rule the world these people will be spared from
my wrath. I must say they are impressive. I normally detest the
writer... However, I do see where it would be hard to spend nine
months away from the people you care about. Not that I care about the
writer mind you. I am my own car.

This trip has been an interesting one that I have very much enjoyed.
On that note I don't believe I will be seeing any one of my loyal
minions for a very long time... The writer has informed me this is the
last cruise for a good long while. She is now saving for a cruise in
europe. Odd considering she holds a bit of a grudge against them.
(One European puts down America and she gets all bent out of shape.
Americans are arrogant. Get over it. Everyone knows that.) Anyway,
that being said she wants to see Italy, England, and Spain. So that's
the next cruise... In theory at least... More on all this and more
tomorrow.

The Traveling Karr

Karr's Snips: I've almost been run over 6 times in this country!
What's wrong with the driving skills of this country???

Cody's Tips: For once Karr's right. The driving skills of this
country are frightening. Therefore, be very, very careful when
crossing the road. The taxies out there will hit you...

Stay safe everybody! Loved this vacation but kinda looking forward to
a quiet night in my own bed!

Half Moon Cay

Greetings loyal minions,

Still at sea. I must admit this sea air is... calming... This new
place is rather unique. The ship can not come to close to the island
because the water is not nearly deep enough. Therefore the ship is
anchored just off shore and a ferry boat is taken from the ship to the
island. For those of you wondering... Yes the writer burns and yes
the anchor dropping is annoyingly loud. The writer chose horseback
riding as her off shore trip. A rather interesting choice considering
she OWNS TWO OF THEM... Why would you go on vacation to ride a horse
when you have a horse at home? But oh no... She wanted to ride in
the ocean. Which admittedly is a once in a lifetime opportunity for
someone who lives somewhere that's predominately land locked without
going for a three and a half hour drive.

My own activities are coming along well. I attempted to get a little
bit of sun today up on deck. Did anyone else know a jet black sports
car couldn't tan? I didn't... My hood smarts a little from sun burn
but I am still the exact same color. Who knew that changing colors by
laying in the sun was only a human trait? Still though it was
relaxing. It's surprising just how relaxing laying under the warm sun
is.

Last night was form night which of course meant the writer actually
donned a skirt... Now THATs a once in a lifetime experience... I
have to admit I was never made aware that the writer actually did in
fact have legs... It was an experience that will not soon be forgotten.

Oh, I also discovered something else! Did anyone else know that the
pool water on a cruise ship is salt water? I was not made aware of
that until the writer got a mouth full of it. Which was more than a
little amusing. Oh and know what else? I can't swim. I sink. Which
royally sucks... How am I suppose to rule the world when I can't even
float? That aside it was a rather good day.

Tomorrow we dock at Nassau Bahamas. Now that should be interesting.
The writer's brother and her father are going on some historical
pirate tour. The writer and her mother are going shopping at the
straw house. That would be the highlight of the writer's trip by the
way. Shopping... So that's it for now. I will update my loyal
minions tomorrow from the shores of Nassau.

The Traveling Karr

Karr's Snips: There's someone sleeping and snoring very loudly in the
library where the writer has chosen to blog. Here's a snip... If you
decide to go take a nap do it in your own dang room!

Cody's Tips: Any cruse ship has a general rule of thumb. If you
don't want to be left behind, be at the boat on time because the ship
is not going to wait on you. With that in mind, give yourself about
an hours leeway. You don't have to wait until the last minute. It
only stresses you. However, if something should happen and you do
find yourself in a bind make sure you have your passport and some
cash. That's pretty much all you need to make it home on your own.

Until next time folks! Rock on!

It starts...

Greetings loyal minions...

The traveling Karr speaking to you via e-mail from on board the
Fascination. For now I find it interesting this world I've set out to
conquer... So in total here's the trip thus far.

We left at approximately 0600. We've gotten plenty of stupid people's
awards while on this trip by the way... Anyway we set off, the first
leg of our trip was fairly uneventful. We stopped in Statesboro and
grabbed some breakfast at a Dunkin' Doughnuts... I have come to
believe that this Dunkin' Doughnuts may be on some level working with
Starbucks... This means that they are working together to conquer the
world themselves and therefore might be some unwanted competition...
I'll have to learn more... And if learning more involves staking out
their establishments and drinking their coffee... I'll just have to
make that sacrifice... Anyway, after we left Dunkin' Doughnuts we
didn't stop again until we reached Jacksonville where we killed some
time at a local Wal-Mart. Again uneventful but for the green swimsuit
the writer purchased there... She needs a fashion consultant... I
like green. Not that color green...

After leaving Wal-Mart we reached the cruise terminal where I was
CHECKED! I was placed in a suitcase and checked with the rest of the
writer's baggage! How humiliating! I will remember that act of...
disloyalty when I rule the world!

Anyway onboard the ship it was a few hours before I was reunited with
the writer... Once reunited we were forced to endure a ship safety
drill. Later you will see photos of me in my life preserver. I
demanded one my size but apparently that was to much to ask...

After the drill and some humiliating photos the writer went off to
take pictures around the boat and I was able to catch a rather long
nap. Then the humans went to dinner while I guarded the room. Though
that... Stewart... Insisted on coming in on MY watch for something
called a turn down service. He created a little animal out of a towel
and set it on the bed. I of course interrogated it since we were
going to be spending some time together. It was not forthcoming with
information...

Unfortunately, the stewart thought it would be cute to pose me with
said animal... Which the writer of course thought was adorable so she
of course took lots of pictures...

The next morning I was left to my own devises and plotting while the
writer went jogging up on sports deck. In a little while we will be
going to get a little sun up on the sun deck and play a round of golf
with the writer's father. So until next blog...

The Traveling Karr

Karr's Snips: We've spent more time on this cruise telling people to
get the hell out of the way and waiting for elevators. How do you
humans multiply this quickly???

Cody's Tips: Room service is your friend. If it's a free service
such as on a cruise, don't feel bad about ordering food up to the
room. It's fun, quiet, and rather restful as there is no one moving
around in your room unless you're sharing it with someone.

Greetings from the ship! Hope everyone is having a good day!

Embarkation (The Traveling Karr)

The traveling Karr....

This is purely a trial period.  Therefore, I'm going to see how this works out with one character which means Cody is in the background but never directly spoken to.  The next trip there will be two.  So we have...  The Traveling Karr.

Greetings Subjects.

Tomorrow we set sale for destinations unknown...  Well...  Known to me.  Our trip will consist of three separate destinations.  At 0600 we will awaken and prepare for this trip.  0700 should therefore see us on the road to Jacksonville.  If we keep this schedule and make good time on the interstate we will arrive in Jacksonville Fl. at approximately 1100.  (People who live in Jacksonville...  Do not be concerned.  We plan to cause no trouble while we are there.)  I'm assuming that during the trip I will be riding shot gun.  Cody can ride in the trunk for all I care.

We will then board the ship (After picking up some supplies from Wal-Mart....  A purely ingenious institute.)  I will of course will remain on deck while the ship sets sail for I am king of the world.

Our other destinations are Half Moon Cay and of course Nassau Bahamas.  I look forward to each destination and will use the time at Half Moon Cay to launch the first attempts at world domination.  (Since the writer will be busy riding some smelly horse on the beach)  That may possibly change to world domination in the Bahamas...  (Assuming the writer changes her mind and decides to spend her time petting a smelly fish that poses as a mammal)  Of course you might note a trend at this point.  I tend to work through vacations.  That is for now our schedule.  We will try and keep you up to date and up by the minute.  If that is not possible we will of course offer retribution in the form of many great stories and photos.  Mostly photos of yours truly.  So be well.  Have a nice week...  You are all not so bad for humans.  When I rule the world your deaths will be quick and painless.

Karr

Karr's Snips:  Do cruise forums HAVE to make things so blasted difficult?  Print this, don't print that, have this available upon boarding oh and by the way bring an electronics strip because there's only one outlet in the cabin...  I'm already tired and we haven't taken off yet...

Cody's Tips:  Cruise terminals are like airport terminals.  If it's your first time treat it as if you were going out of country in an airport.  Don't complain when they ask you to take your shoes off.  Just do what they ask in way of security measures.  It does make the process go by quicker after all.  Also note that when they say no cell phones in the cruise ship terminal, they really mean it.  They will throw you out and the rest of us will be waving at you as the ship takes off while you're standing on the pier all alone.

Alright everybody!  I'm off for a week!  A whole week!  I hope everyone has a wonderful week and we'll see you in a week!

Friday stupid folks

Oh...  People...  If EVER someone deserved the stupid people awards...

Ok so here's the story.  This guy decides to steal some gas from a van for his own vehicle.  However once he gets it in the container he realizes he doesn't know how much he has.  So he LIGHTS A LIGHTER so he'll have enough light to see by...

Ok first off we learned in the second grade that gas is flammable.  Ya know all those old sayings?  Adding fuel to the fire?  Gas makes fire go fwoosh!

Did no one ever explain just how a combustible engine even works?  Burning fuel!  Did his friend not know that was supposedly with him?

Speaking of friend who's bright idea was it to light a flame to see gas?  Good friends tell their friends when they're being stupid.  Friends don't let friends be stupid!  Come on!  Were both of them sharing a brain that day?

So anyway...  Flame guy?  You win the Plotless Stupid People Awards.  Please don't reproduce...

Head's up!

Just a heads up folks!  Most already knows what that means...

Saturday morning I will be taking a cruise to the Bahamas.  Good times, good times...  So what does this mean?  No blog...  What else does it mean?  Might be able to get a few messages out via e-mail on the ship.  What else does it mean?  TRAVELING KARR!

That's right...  The official introduction of The Traveling Karr is about to hit off.  For when I get back Karr will have lots to tell you.  Who is Karr?  What is Karr?  It shall all become clear tomorrow.  For tomorrow on top of my normal stupid people's awards... I will introduce The Traveling Karr and his minion Cody to you and to all.  So keep an eye out for the two of them!

I fixed the time issues on my blog!  Yay me!!!!!

Thursday Rambling of the Week (Obsessiveness)

Obsession...  It means persistence.  It's not always a good thing people.  Far from it actually.

I have discovered something while blogging.  You find people who tend to jump on something and be obsessive about it and just won't let it go.  Like a dog on a bone.  They chew on it and long, LONG after the topic of conversation has passed they are still complaining, nagging, and screaming "It's not fair!"  Is it wrong of me to want to beat these people with a stick?

Alright so here goes.  The people who really irk my nerves the wrong way.  Anyone ever pick up a hatehorses.blog?  Brilliant fellow...  Not really.  If you don't like something why dedicate a website to it other than just trying to piss people off?  Try this one on for size...  Don't like horses?  Don't go near one!  I don't like snakes or spiders.  That doesn't mean I'm going on a political campaign against them.  Some people keep them as pets.  If they touch me you will see a southern girl learn to fly really quick.  Leave it alone!

You also find these people who are obsessive about their hobbies.  Don't get me wrong... I love Knight Rider.  I love photography.  I love the internet and I love RP.  I also love Transformers and I love Stargate.  A lot of things that my attention has been drawn into.  Not a single one of those is my entire life.  (With maybe the exception of photography as that is currently my wanted line of work.  Come on I can make a career out of my hobby!  How awesome is that?)  The most recent thing I can think of is Anime.  It has it's bunch of obsessors.  You know the kind...  They can quote every show.  They know the characters of every show.  That's all they read.  It's all they watch.  It's all they talk about when you try to socialize with them!  I mean come on...  Just because you're interested in something doesn't mean I'm just as interested to hear about it.  Same goes with WOW, Lieniage, and that other game that seems so popular now...  I mean I'll listen to you go on about it for a little while but hours on end is way to out of line.  Give me something here... I don't go on and on and on and on about horses and photography do I?  No!  I discuss work, family, life, hobbies, other stuff that's goin' on.  I mean come on...  You have family and friends...  Discuss something else.

So that's about it...  Stop obsessing!  So I don't have to obsess over obsessing.  :)

Wednesday Movie and Song of the week

Yes it's that time again!  So grab a bucket of popcorn and listen up.

The movie Braveheart.  Have ya seen it?  Of course you have.  So let us focus on the hotness of Mel Gibson for a moment.  Yeah yeah I know he made a religious movie that for some was in itself a religious experience and then claimed to some California cop he hated the jews.  Forget about that Mel Gibson.  (Apparently fame makes you nuts.  Just look at Tom Cruise)  Travel back in time with me if you will.  Remember the first time you saw the movie Brave Heart?  That Scottish accent stuck in my mind for weeks.  I mean come on...  That man is hot and we all know it.  There is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.  He is absolutely amazing in that movie.  It was a movie I could entirely be pulled into.  None of his other movies did that for me.  No not even the movie Lethal Weapon.  Though I did like the fourth one.  The first and second were ok.  I didn't bother to see the third.    Anyway go see Brave Heart if you haven't.  If you haven't...  What rock have you been living under?

The song is just as old school as the movie this week.  (Oh come on, sometimes you have to get reintroduced to the classics.)  Workin' for the Weekend by Loverboy.  I don't know why I love this song so much...  I mean come on.  It makes ya feel good!  You can dance to it and no one looks at you like you're a loon!  That really big guy in that movie tried to come off as a stripper to it...  At least in clips I've seen that I don't care to ever see again.  I honestly can't remember what movie it was.  The point being it will stick in your mind and you can't help but sing it.  So go hum it.  Go dance to it.  Go to work and shake your groove thang!  People will think you've finally snapped.  Then you get to go to the nice place with the white walls.  Come on!  It'll be fun!  Let loose and move on with the rest of you week!
