Updates and things coming 'round

Greetings Minions,

It is I. Your friendly, neighborhood Traveling Karr. Updating my loyal followers on the current aspects of the 'big move'. Maji and I will be leaving the first Monday of January which I believe is the fourth. Our travels will first take us to the city of Charlotte, NC. We will stay there a few hours before moving on to Ashville where we will spend the night. Mindful that this all is centered around the task of applying for jobs in these towns. The writer will then make the short trip over to Pigeon Forge where we will focus our attention on Gatlinburgh, Pigeon Forge, and Bryson City.

Of course pictures will be taken... Main point being is that if you see us... Approach!

The Traveling Karr takes politics!

Greetings Minions,

As many of you already know Maji finally had enough of her old job and put her foot down where 'The Man' was concerned. Who in this case was actually an incredibly bitchy woman but I digress... As of December 15, 2009 Maji will officially be no longer employed at the Burke Medical Center. On December 27, 2009 we will be packing up our little red wagons and heading for a place far, far away that I will finally be able to make a true bid for power! That's right... Washington D.C. Maji says it's because of job opportunities and the fact that her uncle lives there. However, I know she is truly being supportive of world domination as I move forward to the election year. And no... The fact that the year is 2012 is not a sign that I will bring upon the apocolypse... (You know who you are Russell... Your death will be slow and painful when I rule the world.)

This is a very big move for us all and we're very excited. A little nervous as well as we move forward in this new adventure. The very good news is that this will bring on much more of the traveling Karr as we will be traveling a great deal in the next few months as Maji leaves no stone unturned in this search for a new career. Much fun!

Of course there's also the fact that neither of us has ever seen snow before and we will be traveling North in the dead of winter. Possibly not the smartest plan on our part... Stay tuned! We're not done yet! And if things are to hectic for me to speak to my followers before hand...

Merry Christmas!

That's right! I said Merry Christmas! And a very happy New Year!!!!

Messin' with Gold Fish

I think I'll make this a new blog topic :) Because for some reason the world that goes on in my fish aquarium is way more interesting than anything I could ever come up with.

So get this... I have this dark brown fish who's messin' with me... Literally. I questioned this event at first but now I know. He's out to screw with my head.

See he's an inactive little fish. He doesn't do much. Just kinda swims around the tank at this really slow pace. But lately he's been floating around the top of the tank. He'll stay so still that I think he's dead. Then I try to scoop him out of there and he takes off and is fine for a few more days until he's again chillin' out on the surface of the water. I thought for a while he was sick. Therefore, we've gone through anti fungal supplies and every other kind of fishy drugs you can think of... I've completely replaced the water... Treated them for everything from air blatter infections to ick and yes he still seems to be fine. But for the fact that right now he's floating at the surface of the tank...

Yep, just poked him. He's fine.

Tune in next week. I'll describe how one of my gold fish had babies and the other fish ate them. I find my fish highly disturbing can you tell?

Maji can Draw!

Just not very well :)

This was done years ago, when I was still in high school even. I loved it then, so I'm making myself get back into the practice. Yes I have to make myself. Art to me is theraputic for a few moments then it gets dull... That and I get frustrated with it. Apparently I feel that it should be as simple as putting pencil to paper.

Yes insert major rolling of the eyes here. I know it takes years of practice to get any good at all... I just don't have the time. But now? I have ever other week off as made official by my new schedule. As soon as I find the inspiration to do it I have plenty of time. So... Maji's new project yay!

The Traveling Karr, back from the Bahamas

Greetings Minions,

Traveling Karr here...  Way to little to late.  It's been a hectic week since our return from the Bahamas.  Mostly for the writer at work but I must apologize for my lack of updates while on the cruise itself.  Traveling with fourteen people was something I was not prepared for the activity of...

Anyway, getting right down to business.  We departed very early on Monday morning as we normally do.  A drive that was rather uneventful to anything in particular.  We stopped nowhere and for the most part everyone who was not driving slept.

We stopped at Walmart in Jacksonville...  I'm afraid checking out the local Walmart of any town we stop in has become a bit of a tradition with the writer.  I'm ashamed to admit this...  And if she doesn't stop wearing her M&M pajama pants into our local Walmart her picture is going to wind up in an e-mail chain...

That was also uneventful and we managed to get on board without attracting the attention of any official or having anything taken away from us.  (Couldn't sneak in that case of Mountain Dew though...  A bad day for the writer as carnival endorses only Coca Cola Products.  Any other drink can be swapped out for the Coca Cola equivalent but Mountain Dew is different.  The Coca Cola equivalent which I believe is suppose to be Mellow Yellow, according to the writer tastes like crap.)

We got on board and met up with our people.  Friends through work and a few family members primarily.  We set sail that afternoon without incident...  Though our rooms were unfortunately smaller than normal as we attempted to fit four people into one room.  Bunks to not suit The Traveling Karr...  The writer rolled over on me...

The next day we docked in Key West.  I love Key West by the way.  So laid back.  The writer's brother went on the pub crawl with their father...  Both of which came back very drunk.  I found it amusing while the writer found it disturbing.  It was at this particular port of call that we ran into trouble.  Trouble in the form of homeland security.  Who after catching the writer taking pictures inside a navel base apparently felt that she was in fact a terrorist.  I wish I was joking at this point by the way...

I'm not sure how but she managed to avoid being arrested.  However, she was escorted back to the ship and told to stay on board.  We were all rather happy to get out of Key West after that.  With Maji thankfully not in jail and her brother three sheets to the wind and myself...  Well...  I have a little sun burn but otherwise I'm good.

The next day was a day at sea.  Maji spent most of her day reading a book by the pool.  I spent the day napping by the pool.  Wonderful day.

Then there was Nassau.  Maji behaved herself in this country as she did not want to know what a Bahamas jail looked like...  Other than visiting Atlantis it was rather uneventful...  and hot!

Back on board the ship and back home again after another day at sea and more napping by the pool.  But for Maji's near brush wit the law the trip was uneventful.  Over a thousand pictures taken of friends and family but uneventful none the less.

Traveling Karr Rides Again

Yep, he's gonna be riding so far!

October 12 - 17 The Traveling Karr is gonna be in the Bahamas. Which means plenty of pictures. Wahoo! Fun stuff. Anyway stay tuned! We havn't been able to post much since the Savanna trip!

We've been traveling but just not with Karr. Karr stayed home a few trips while we went to a few horse shows and such. Check out my DA account for pictures from that!

Also might be going to St. Augustine for a couple days before we leave for the Bahamas so maybe a two for one! Now that would be interesting!

What's up?

So what's up?  Awesome stuff!

I have a job interview on Friday.  Well technically speaking it's not a job interview but what it is, is that someone who I've contacted about a job and then contacted me in response suggested I go to a photo shoot that will be happening at a local church to see just what I will be doing.

See I applied for a job at Ollan Mills Photography Studio.  They do church directories.  I will be a traveling photographer that will essentially be going from Church to Church across New England.  (The Traveling Karr will really be getting some miles on him.)

Anyway, the guy I've been talking to about it says that Georgia is way out of his area but if I want I can go to this church on Friday and meet the photographer and the area manager.  (Which I'm guessing he's already talked to the area manager and said "Make sure this chick isn't nuts would ya?")

Sorry to disappoint you sir!  I may be nuts but I know how to behave myself most of the time :)

Anyway I'm really excited.  I know I've been trying to open up my own business but this kind of experience will be hard to get anywhere else and it's like it just fell in my lap.  Oh, also know the priest who is over the church.  Maybe Father Jerry will put in a good word for me :)

Anyway the other thing that's kind of neat is that I've been really looking hard for Real Estate in the Aiken SC area.  The Traveling Karr hasn't been getting a whole lot of miles to there yet though...  But we'll definitely send the pictures of the houses we're going to see this weekend. We'll need help deciding  :)

And yes I know Job interview in New England and still house hunting...  But I figure if I look for a fixer upper...  Or some land...  I can be making payments on it while I'm traveling across New England and slowly working my way into putting something on it.  I can even rent it out in the meantime.  Let it pay for itself for a while.

So anyway since everyone likes Karr more than me ;)  Here he is.

Greetings Minions,

I've been to the desert on a horse with no name!  That song is stuck in my CPU.  Anyway, I've been doing a little traveling in the local area this week and I have something that must be addressed.  That is the fact that if you give a realtor a budget why is it that everything they send is right dead on that budget.  Can they not send something that is much cheaper that you may not have thought about?

If Maji did not have the good sense to do some research of her own she may have never found a few of the houses that we will be going to look at.  Realtors also have a way of refusing to think outside the box.  One must say "No I want to see that one!"  Before they will bend to your wishes.  However, you are the one paying for it.  Don't be afraid to tell a realtor you would really rather see another house.  Don't be bullied into something you don't want.

So with that I bid farewell for now.  More this weekend.

Karr

Admit it.  You do like him more than me :)

Projects & Ideas

Alright so I've got a few other projects on the fire.   Some are more interesting than others...

So here's the deal.   I'm planning a trip to Comberland island (Karr might not get to go on that one since this is primarily a wild life photography trip)

Karr:  Hey!

Or maybe he'll just hide in my backpack.   Who knows...  He can't complain though he's going on a cruise in October.

Karr:  Now you're talkin'!

I've got a couple writing projects on the fire that require attention...  I've also got my barn project.  I'm cleaning up my barn and making it presentable so that people will be willing to give me money in exchange for keeping their beloved horses at my barn.   Doesn't that sound like fun?

Karr:  Entirely...

Anyway, part of the projects shall be this blog.  I need advertising...  Yay!  Still figuring that one out but this to shall come!

Got a business license!

It's a happy day one and all!  Got a business license!

Got it going on :)

So anyway this weekend I'm planning a trip to Aiken.  By far not the most glamours place I've decided to go this summer since it's only an hour drive but oh well.  Suppose it's better than Modock which is where I was originally planning to go this weekend.  So what's Modock?  A tiny little community that doesn't even have a high enough population to be called a town.

Why was I going there?

Horse auction.   A dangerous hobby for me.  Know why?  The meat man goes to the Modock auction and all it would take is him to raise a paddle on a sweet older horse with soft brown eyes I happened to pat the nose of and I would be bidding.   Evil man...

Anyway not going to the horse auction because something came up.   I was originally going with my mother because she really wanted to go.  So now that I'm free this weekend I'm going to use the time to push my sales a little.   Namely in Aiken.   Horse country.

So that's what happened there.

Look forward to pics from the weekend.

New social low?

Or dating of the future!  You decide!

I joined a dating site called Equine Cupid.  This should disturb me :)

It could be worse I suppose.  Stay tuned for more of Maji's social disasters yippee!

The Traveling Karr

Epic.  Totally Epic :)

I'm not going anywhere for a week or two (I didn't realize just how much that took out of me)  Though folks have mentioned that they would like to hear more from the Traveling Karr whether he's traveling or not.

So here he is.  The traveling Karr.

Greetings Minions

I would just like to go on record as saying something.  I am also going to step out of my somewhat dead pan attitude and flat tones to say it...

Georgia is hot as the lowest and darkest level of hell...  Which really doesn't make any sense since in Dante's Inferno the deepest level of hell was actually described as being encased in ice.  Which is entirely beside the point.  It hit well over a hundred today and it's only June.  I could truly go for some ice right about now.  Any ice.

That said I would just like to say the job hunt is on for Maji.  She has fallen in love with the Helen area of Georgia.  If all goes well we will relocate to Helen.  Sound like fun?

This means Tourists.  Tourists means...  You guessed it...  Her Stupid Peoples Awards.

Karr

Admit it...  Ya'll like Karr more than me don't ya :)

A riddle...

A riddle for the day

Arnold Schwarzenegger has a big one.

Michael J. Fox has a small one.

Madonna doesn't have one.

The Pope has one but doesn't use it.

Clinton uses his all the time.

Bush is one.

Mickey Mouse has an unusual one.

Liberace never used his on women.

Jerry Seinfeld is very, very proud of his.

Cher claims that she took on 3.

We never saw Lucy use Desi's.

What is it? Answer below! (this is pretty good )

The answer is: "A Last Name."

You didn't really think I'd send you a dirty joke, did you?

This made me laugh for a long time :)

Savannah Killed my Inner Child

Yes it did...  Not only did Savannah kill my inner child it knocked it to the ground, stepped on it, beat it up a little, molested it, and then killed it.  It wasn't a fast death.  There was torture involved.  Frighteningly enough it was still a fun trip...  Does this make me a disturbing person?

Anyway...  The one everyone is really here to hear from.  The Traveling Karr

Greetings Minions...

This trip is an odd one in that it actually started before ever leaving.  Not much sleep was to be had as Russell and the writer's brother decided to shanghi the living room and watch a movie that I found most enjoyable for a movie that included no vehicular manslaughter.  Apollo 13.

So this should probably forecast the rest of the trip maybe?  Crawled out of bed at 6 a.m.  Way to early in the flippin' morning if you ask me...

Set out on the road not to long after that and hit the road for Savannah.  Just a tip?  No if you are going from Waynesboro to Savannah you do not need to get on I-95.  Apparently Maji's thoughts were on Jacksonville and a cruise ship.

Got to the beach at about 9 in the morning.  It was very nice but for the sand...  And the salt water...  and the fish...  and the people...  Alright let me point something out right here.  Every time we go to the beach we are all reminded of just how much we all hate the beach.  Personally I hated getting sand on me and refused to get off the beach chair.

Maji decided getting in the water might be fun.  The problem being the fish...  Yes fish.  Little fish just a bit longer than a human's hand were jumping out of the water.  Absolutely everywhere!  Dozens of them.  Has anyone else been to Tybee Island?  Is this common?

Anyway Maji felt one hit her leg and then bite her therefore for a while she was out of the water.  However, that did not last long as she then seemed to forget the fish and got back in the water.  This event made the entire trip enjoyable.  A fish jumped out of the water and hit her in the face!  I kid you not.  I laughed so hard if I were human I would have soiled myself.  This was a truly amazing event and when I rule the world I believe I will have to remember this and throw fish at her often.  I do not believe I will ever tire of that.

We left the beach about eleven and Maji stopped in a real-estate office where the realtor was rather rude.  When broached with the topic of commercial real-estate this woman laughed and told us good luck.  Well then...

We left there and stopped for lunch at Applebees which had the most amazing fried shrimp.  Maji wanted local sea food but was afraid of getting food poisoning from some of the dives located along the beach.

From there we decided to go down to River Street...  Where we drove around for two hours looking for parking!

We finally found parking in a hotel parking garage that was also offering public parking.  I might also add those were very narrow streets...  I was nervous at times...  Maji's driving frightens me...

River Street was interesting, though there were people driving on it which truly threw me off a bit.  You are not allowed to drive on the Augusta River Walk.  Though Maji truly had fun with it.

From there we took a Trolly ride and I must say.   If you are in the area and want to see everything, take the Trolly.  Take the Trolly with Hollywood.  Hollywood was part tour guide and part comedian.  I rather enjoyed the tour.  It's also good to know the lay of the land that I will one day rule.

We decided soon after that to head home and I am very proud of Maji.  For the first time she left Savannah and did not get lost once!  Now that was truly amazing.

As always minions, if you see us...  Make sure to say hello.  I am badgering the writer to get creative and create T-shirts for us.

Until next time...

Flickr

This is a test post from flickr, a fancy photo sharing thing.

TGIF

Friday is here!  Tomorrow the Traveling Karr is hitting the beach for some fun in the sun.  Well not really...  It's more a photography expedition than surf and waves.  Though for at least an hour we will be heading down to the water.

He'll have alot to say about it once we get back I'm sure.

Though that's not exactly why I decided to post something today.

Y'all ever hear of Twitter?  Sure ya have!  It's gaining popularity in leaps!  Anyway point being I'm now on Twitter as Majistar.  Check me out!  Karr has alot to say but I assure you I have more ;)

Though again...  Not what I wanted to post about.

I have...

A Friday Stupid People's Award!

Yay!!!!!!

Jon and Kate Plus Eight.

I'm sure all have heard of them unless you've been living under a rock.  (Which is possible for some I suppose.)  Anyway this woman literally got famous off of her uterus which alone disturbs me.  Now this guy is complaining.  He's saying that he's unhappy because he can't go into a store anymore without people knowing who he is and trying to take his picture.

What did you flippin' expect?  People try to take pictures of their local weather man because he's on T.V. and they think it's cool that they've seen him.  Hell they even try to take pictures of their local radio DJ's.  Let's face it people will take meeting a famous person in any form they can get it.

They don't care if it's some TLC reality show or a big movie star.  Your show is popular.  Your face is well known (Because you go out for a night on the town with a 23 year old without your wife and somehow that's not wrong.  Dude come on!)

How did you not know this would happen?

Now let me get something right here.  Jon is a saint.  If I had to listen for two minutes that screechy sound that comes out of that woman's mouth in the form of a voice I would be trolling for 23 year olds to.

Has anyone ever watched an episode where she wasn't screaming at the kids, her husband, some poor bystander and saying on the interviews that she had just had it for the day?  I haven't.  (Yes I do watch it sometimes.  It's my vice.  It reminds me never to have children.)

It makes me sad that these people have reproduced.  It also makes me sad that the children are actually smarter than they are.

So yeah...  Jon and Kate?  You've won the stupid people's award...

For the love of God don't produce any more!

Helen GA

As promised. The Traveling Karr returns with his views on our trip to
Helen GA...

Greetings Minions,

I have been again traveling with the writer. This time to an
interesting little place in GA. A small town by the name of Helen.
Now allow me to shed some light on this little town. You see Helen
was a dying town with about a 90% population of Germans. They decided
to clean up the town a bit and all got together and set it up with a
German theme... Yes you can go see Germany in Georgia. Who knew?

Anyway for this particular trip we were joined by an interesting
fellow. Russell. Russell has been Maji's best friend since high
school. Her BFF as she has often referred to him. This trip was an
interesting one because Maji took one look at the directions and
declared screw it. For map quest led her on a road that was vastly
inferior. She instead bought a road map of Georgia and studied it for
a few minutes before deciding that the best way to go would be to
simply follow highway seventeen. A very good judgement for it got us
there within' a fairly short amount of time. After driving along what
Russell claimed was the most boring road ever. In her grandmother's
car by the way. Dante the PT Cruiser had a tail light out.

I noticed something along this trip into the mountains of North
Georgia. There was a lot... and I mean A LOT of churches. I also
noticed something else. For ever church we spotted there was a liquor
store. And for every one of those we spotted there was four or five
cow pastures. There are alot of cows in Georgia...

Anyway we finally got to Helen about ten in the morning. Maji and
Russell stopped to eat breakfast at a huddle house. Which by the way
was much nicer and much cleaner than the local one. Though it still
had crappy service. What does this tell us? Clean up crap and give
it a nice new paint job and it still doesn't change the fact that it
started out as poo.

So survived the huddle house experience (Do yourself the favor and
don't eat the eggs) Maji then decided it was time to go shopping.
Five dollars to park in an empty, dirt lot. So did these people buy
the lot and decide to set up this business or did they just claim a
lot and set up shop? I don't know but wouldn't be my first career
choice. Anyway parked the car then hit the street. Alot of
interesting little shops. Alot of interesting places that have since
closed down to.

We walked up one side of the street and stopped at a real-estate
office and picked up some pamphlets in which Maji was rather irritated
because the man behind the counter couldn't seem to understand that
her and Russell were not a couple. So off again, back down the street
for a couple hours. We then hit the road again, to another Real-
Estate office and a building that the next man sent us out to look
at... (Maji gave up in trying to convince this man she and Russell
were not a couple.

Along the way we stopped at a stable because Maji wished to check out
the local horse area. This place was way over charging for boarding
fees by the way. It also wasn't the cleanest place in the world.
Maji declared that no horse of hers was stepping foot in that place
because apparently Angelous is now to good for dirt to be laid upon
his golden hide. Truly Maji. I don't care if you think you're the
boss of me. Get a life.

Though I will admit that the mud, the flies, and the dog poo didn't
exactly add to the lay out of the land...

Anyway from there we drove fifteen miles to see a bridge. You heard
me correctly. Fifteen miles to see one bridge. What kind of bridge
is so special that you drive fifteen miles to see one? Apparently a
covered bridge... It was half a barn over a creek for God's sake! It
was covered in graffiti and could hardly be called a bridge as when
looking down at your feet about half way across you could see the
river below. Not a bridge.

We then packed up and from there pretty much started the long trip home.

Though we can not close this out without explaining what happened upon
getting into Augusta which ended in Maji being banned from yet ANOTHER
establishment in the Augusta area. So what's the list up to now? She
can not go back into Best Buy, Pet's Mart, and now Burger King on
Peach Orchard Road has been added to the list. But for the record the
woman behind the counter did have an attitude and was very stupid.
Though Maji didn't have to actually throw a cheese burger at the girl
to get the point across. When I did that I was told I had an anger
issue. I do not have anger issues I might add. It is everyone else
who has a stupid issue.

That aside we did have a very nice time. We learned some things...
Figured some things out. Even got to meet a few interesting people.
(Guy from the magic shop? I still don't know how in the hell you made
that quarter appear. But when I find out I will rule you!)

Karr

Well that's it folks. We're going to Savannah this weekend so stay
tunes. Interesting things on the way!

Timely Changes

I am once again online at night.  I know, I know, no excuse for the length of time I tend to go without a word.  However, I do have good reasoning for it.

The Traveling Karr has been out and about again.  One at a time if you please!  So without further adue...  The Traveling Karr himself!

Greetings Minions,

I know you are all buzzing with curiosity of where my travels have fallen.  I have to say one of the latest trips has been interesting on all sides.

Two weeks ago we graced Hilton Head South Carolina with our presence.  An interesting little place and I have to say I rather well enjoyed it.  The Writer was forced to work the night before at the place where she earns her meager wages therefore we missed the first part of the trip.  As normally the writer is content to look out the window and snap plenty of pictures this was a change.

We slept in the back with the baggage.  Which made getting there very quick actually.  The last thing either of us remembers was the writer's father yelling out of the window in some town close to where she spent the first part of her life and asking someone if someone by the name of Brian was around...

Brian if you are out there...  We will find you.

He was not.  Up the road a few miles we stopped at a traffic light in a place called Rincon.  Again we did not see anything of this town.  However, they apparently have plenty of fire trucks.  We heard many sirens...  Apparently they were having trouble actually finding the fire as this went on for several minutes.

Finally we reached the hotel and I must say...  This place met every one of the Traveling Karr's high standards.  It was clean, very nice, and within' walking distance from the beach.  If you are traveling to Hilton Head I very much recommend the Holiday Inn Express.

Though on a side note...  You may want to avoid the elevator.  I tended to get a little nervous when it dropped a few inches every time someone stepped on.  However, despite the loud noises it made it did not fall...  Still though.  Take the stairs.  Not only is it good exercise but it will be less likely that you will die.

The first day we were there it rained quite a bit.  Which lead to the cause of a near death experience on a bridge in which a very large truck passed us on the left hand side and threw water across the windshield thus entirely blocking vision.  Mr. Truck?  I will find you...

We did make it out of that safely though.

The next day proved for better weather.  The writer spent most of the day laying down by the beach, then by the pool, then walking around the island and shopping.  I spent most of the day tagging along.  I'll have you know I could entire go with the beach bumb look.

It was a wonderful little outing.  We ate at one point at the salty frog.  If you go there order the club sandwich on potato bread.  Maji claims it was the most amazing club sandwich ever.  If you don't like sandwiches don't go there.  Everything else was horrible.  Unless of course you like spicy french fries.

We also ate pool side which I have to say...  Of all the places to eat, the pool side bar had the best fried shrip.  Go figure on that one...

Another good place was the Long Horn.  Very good fried shrimp, great steak, and an interesting atmosphere.  Though I have to say the dead stuffed animal hanging on the wall kinda gave me the creeps...

Then it was time to come home.  A very relaxing weekend and the trip home was uneventful.  Though I do resent the two and a half hours Maji spent at the outlet mall...  For shame...

Until next time loyal minions...

The Traveling Karr

That's all for now!  Stay tuned for Karr's account of last weekend's trip to Helen GA!

Stupid People's Awards

This is a sad, sad, sad day.  Know why?  It's because there is a stupid people's awards...  You all know who the subject is to.

Maji

Yes Maji

Maji is the subject and winner of today's stupid people's awards.

I did something stupid.

The day is April 10th.  Good Friday by the way.  We had a horrible series of Tornados in the area.  How horrible you say?

It was bad...

Now, Maji was told to get in the apartment and get in the bathtub with a mattress over the tub if it got to bad.  So it gets really quiet...  I mean really quiet.  Then the wind starts whipping through and it sounds like a train.  It's loud, the power goes out and again...  LOUD!

So what do I do?  I go running out in the parking lot in my Sponge Bob Square Pants PJ's cause I wanna see the funnel!

I have won the stupid people's awards.  Don't worry...  I won't reproduce...

I'm sorry

I have completely neglected my blog. I havnt done the traveling karr justice or the plotless stupid peoples awards which I have found a suprising amount of people miss. I didn't realize every one liked the stupid peoples awards so much. So were getting back to basics here. Friday there is going to be something stupid for all. And the person to send me that person gets a prize!

Just testing somthing. No need to fret. However if this works this will be the first ever post being sent from my new blackberry. I'm really starting to get the hang of this. I think I've found a new passion. Text blogging! This means there is nowhere any of you can hide.

Hail to the cheif if you don't I'll have to kill you

LOL  Anyone know what movie that phrase is from?

It's the funniest movie in the world so you should :)  Go check it out.

Hail to the chief if you don't I'll have to kill you.  I am the chief so you'd better watch your step you bastards.

Oh and this one though it's not half as funny

Hail to the chief, he's the chief and he needs hailing.  He is the chief so everybody hail like crazy.

So anyway here we go!  With a new commander in chief in office I'm officially starting the campaign!

Karr for president '12!

Anyway while advertising my favorite Trans-am is awesome and all...  There is a serious business behind this post.

I'm not so sure if I supported Bush.  I mean...  The man made some really stupid choices and at the moment our country is in an economic low.  However!  Not everything was his fault.  You can't blame Bush for Katrina.  That was a natural disaster.

You also can't blame him for 9/11.  He wasn't flying the plane.

Everything that could possibly go wrong in this country happen under Bush's watch.  All considering...  We're still here.  He came out ahead right?  Anyway it doesn't really matter.  You respect your presidents.  All of them.  You treat them with respect because let's face it.  As soon as the president is elected the man basically gives the country the rest of his life.

They go in young and full of hope.  They come out old and haggard looking and just tired.

Anyway...  Good luck Bush.  Have fun in retirement.

Obama?  Good luck dude.  You're really gonna need it.  We're a little broken.  I voted for Nader (Oh come on I just want that man to have just ONE state in his color!)

I voted for Nader but you're the president now and I support you 100%.  You rock because our country decided that you should be president.  I hope you do well.  So far you've impressed me.  You're a young president.  You worried me at first.  Now...  I don't know.  We'll see.  So far you rock.  So keep on rockin'!  And please consider supporting Karr for future presidency plans :)

Hay

I got Hay XD  On a tractor.  It was kinda neat!

Stalled the thing out a couple hundred times though.  Still though it was kinda neat driving on the highway with a tractor.  Yeah I went there XD

On a side note....

I've started getting into World of Warcraft...  Well sort of.  I'm doing the whole 10 day free trial thing XD  It's awesome.  That is all.

Oops...

HAL was in 2001: Space Odyssey.  Not 2010.   For those who didn't notice I mix up numbers occasionally  :)  Many apologies for those who went 'huh?'

I almost forgot!

For those who didn't know...  It was HAL's birthday yesterday!

Don't know who Hal is?

In Arthur C. Clarke's novel, HAL says, "I became operational. In Urbana, Illinois, on January 12, 1997." In the movie, director Stanley Kubrick made HAL five years older. According to Stork, the script said it took place in 1991.

Without question, Mr. Stork said, logic dictates that it happened in 1997. "Who would want to use a nine-year-old computer on a space mission?" he wondered, before adding, with perfect show biz timing, "Maybe NASA, I'm afraid."

Still don't know who Hal is?  HAL 9000 from 2010 space odyssey.  Still don't know I can't help ya :)  You are not the geek I hoped you all were.  Anyway, so let's give a great big happy birthday and remember some of the more awesome evil computers.

Karr is of course at the top of my list.  Second is the computers off of terminator.  Third I think I'm gonna go with that creepy computer off of I, Robot.  Anyone else?  Come on.  Reflect on your creepy computers.

OMG we're all gonna die!

Yeah...  The world is gonna end in 2012.  So this is what I'm hearing all over the place.  This is the big event...

Is this what we now have to look forward to every Jan. until 2012?

Dear lord...  Does anyone else remember the year 2000?  If I recall...  All year everyone who was anyone said over and over again "All the computers are going to shut down at midnight!  All the power is going to go out and nuclear bombs are gonna go off because they don't have computers anymore!"  Guess what folks...  I still log onto my computer every day.  Know what I was doing at midnight on 2000?  I was chatting on my favorite chat server.  In the middle of a RPG to.  In fact I almost missed the ball dropping.  If it hadn't been for my mother telling me the ball was about to drop I would have.

Nothing went off.  Nothing even hitched.  Hell the server I use to chat on at the time was known for going down at the drop of a hat.  (This included weather conditions)  Even it didn't go off when the new year hit.

Though admittedly I am the granddaughter of one who still has water and ammo stalked away from that time...

So here's my issue...  Does anyone else realize that the calendar as it is, is a man made measurement?  Not even a very good one.  When philosophers looked at time and created the year of our lord they guessed at the date.  So 2012?  Not really 2012.  Could be off by a year or three.

Now I'll admit there has got to be some significants to the date.  There is a reason why that year is noted, in culture after culture after culture.  I don't know what.  Though I highly doubt we're all gonna die on that day.

If we do?  Well there's really nothing we can do about it now is there?  See all of you on the other side!  My outlook on this?  That's the year I turn 30.  That means I won't have to get any older than 30 if the apocalypse happens on that year.  Happy days!  To bad it takes an apocalypse to keep from turning 31 but hey...

Anyway, I don't think the world is gonna end.  I think it's gonna keep right on turning and in 2013 I will unfortunately turn 31...  Lucky me...

I think we are looking at an end of an age though.  No age lasts forever and thus far no country or way of life has either.  We've gotten better...  But hey even Egypt and the Mayans fell.  Come on people it can't last forever.  I'm kinda looking forward to seeing what's next.  I mean come on.  I don't know about anyone else but I feel there's still something out there for me to accomplish.  Something I have to do yet.  I don't think that includes the apocalypse.  I mean can anyone else really look at their life and tell me that they feel the end approaching in just 3 short years?

Something is gonna happen.  Something is gonna go down.  I don't think it's the end.

Though even if it is...  So what?  It's not like we can stop it.  Live it up while ya can people!  Peace out!

And don't let Apocalypse week on the history channel freak ya out.

Seriously what's wrong with these people?

Karr:  And remember.  Karr for president '12

Oh dear God...  THATS what's going to happen in '12!

Karr:  World Domination!

True Blood

Alright, I gotta say...  I'm lovin' this series!  I absolutely adore it!

Not necessarily the show on HBO since I've only seen one episode of it, but I'm lovin' the book series.  My advice?  If you liked the movie Interview with a Vampire, you'll love this series.  Seriously, I love it!

Now, that aside for the moment...  I'm taking a few days off this month.  Know what this means?  Me and The Traveling Karr are planning a little day trip out to maybe somewhere out in the middle of nowhere and perhaps just up the road to Aiken.  So, with that in mind, I'm hopin' to post again soon!

A change of this and that

Plotless has had a slight change for those who didn't notice.  First off of what is going to change is going to be the fact that I had set this to much to a schedule that I felt inclined to keep.  It's harder to keep a blog going when you are conformed to what you have to talk about.  Therefore the only thing that's staying is going to be the stupid persons awards.  Mostly because I love those.

Otherwise Maji is going to talk about what Maji wants to talk about.  Sometimes Maji isn't going to talk at all.  Sometimes Maji is going to let Karr do all the talking, which he will absolutely love.

It occurs to me that the most popular part of the blog seemed to be Karr's little laments about trips and tips and things such as that.  Taking pictures for the blog was more than a little fun.

Anyway it occurs to me that this is the first blog of the new year.  So lets enjoy it!

Everyone have a new years resolution?  Know what mine is?  Make Plotless take off.  Get it off the ground.  Wright more and have more fun.  Draw more and enjoy the time it takes to create something.  Get out more often and take more pictures because that is what I love to do.  No stupid "I'm gonna loose 10 pounds" resolutions for me that will most likely be broken.

I'm gonna do something I love to do.  That will be easier for me to do.  So this year?  This is the year Maji decides that it's ok to take ten minutes out of her day to look at a cloud, smile and love that cloud and take pictures of it.  It's ok to break out her computer when there's a slow minute at work and write a chapter of the newest novel I'm working on which damn it we're actually gonna finish this year.

It's also ok to pull out a sketch book and draw or darn it just plain take out a book and start reading.  This is what I love to do and I'm darn well gonna do it.  So the Blog is gonna get alot more...  You guessed it.  PLOTLESS!  :)
