It is I. Karr... Maji will have a blog post for you later involving the very long awaited Stupid People's Awards, however, for right now I have the blog.
We made the trip in one piece. Though I'll admit that I did have my doubts from time to time. We traveled from Waynesboro, GA to Bryson City, NC the first day. A very long trip indeed as we did not leave Waynesboro until noon because SOMEONE forgot to do the banking before New Years.
Maji: Alright alright...
Anyway, we made it out of town and traveled into Bryson City. A very nice little town but unfortunately there just isn't a demand for jobs at the moment in that town because it is considered 'off season'. We will try again in March if nothing better comes along because that truly is where Maji would like to be.
Maji: I had a very good feeling about it!
From there we went to Pigeon Forge... Via Hotsprings... Because the road that would have taken thirty minutes to drive was closed and therefore a thirty minute drive through the mountains turned into a three hour drive through the mountains.
Maji: He got a little car sick...
I did not! Anyway, it turned out well as we stayed two nights in Pigeon Forge and we made some good contacts. Including one contact that was willing to hire Maji today, but for the fact that it is off season. So again. Come back in March.
We then traveled to Ashburn which is a suburb of Washington DC and our final destination. Stopping overnight in Roanoke of course because eight hours is a very long drive and it was getting dark and snowy. So there you have it. Oh... And we can't stay at that Romada anymore because Maji was scared of her own reflection.
Maji: It's true... I screamed. Hotel management may or may not have come to the room because a neighbor was concerned... But in my defense it was two in the morning and I wasn't expecting the mirror! I don't think I even noticed the mirror before that.
Yeah... Anyway that was our trip. A nice trip! Very fun. Admittedly not many pictures were taken but we will be making up for that in our next trip. Which is actually to a horse show out in Lexington.
